My List of Beautiful Liberal Arts College Campuses
81When I was planning to do a hub regarding the top colleges and universities in the US, I did not yet have an idea what it would be based upon. Getting the top ten best schools in terms of what the American believed to be the best or should I based it on the admission scores, success rate of graduates or the number of famous people in them or that came from that school? I honestly was flabbergasted to discover I was having a hard time when I was doing my research.
There have been so many write-ups listing the best and top 5 schools, the top ten and top 20 schools, for that matter, each with different basis/criteria with some schools always on the list. What I didn’t realize is that there are so many beautiful college and university campuses with a list that’s different if I use another basis or criteria like the top computer engineering universities. Also, small campuses or liberal arts should have their own list and not compared with big university or college campuses. And there are also great universities and colleges outside of the US.
So, I decided, why not make several hubs of top universities and colleges based on different criteria. I also find it funny that people often ask what the ranking is based from, with a lot of opposite comments that I can only say, this is a list based from what I see, from my point of view. I do agree that you might have other and different choices, let me know and we can include it, if I do find I like it, too.
But for now, let me start with the most beautiful liberal arts colleges with the best campuses in the US. According to some, one thing that can truly describe Liberal Arts College is this quote: "One of the missions of liberal arts colleges is to teach kids how to think, talk and write."

These are just but a few of the college campuses that are totally gorgeous. Some may notice that my list is partial to a lot of green. Maybe it is because it reminds me of my own college.
There is a part 2, if you have other choices, let me know so I can take a look at it too.
Voted up and awesome! You've posted some beautiful photos. My son's college was lovely (St. Mary's College of Maryland) and we used to love to visit.
I just found this hub while scanning through topics. What great photos! I'd like to add Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY to your list. Its buildings and grounds are as pristine as the day they were erected (back in 1861).

Hi, this is a great list, and the photo's are gorgeous. I wish I had the chance to attend one of these when I was younger. This will be great for students to help them to decide. nell
